Congrats to Mayor Lyda Krewson

Chief Executive Officer
St. Louis Economic Development Partnership

Thoughts from the Partnership's CEO

It has been a historic month, and I want to congratulate Lyda Krewson on becoming the first female Mayor of the City of St. Louis!

I have no doubt Mayor Krewson will continue to do great things for the St. Louis region.  She is an intelligent, experienced and hard-working leader who understands the importance of economic development to all citizens.

One project I look forward to working on with Mayor Krewson is the construction of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) West Campus.  It will immediately employ thousands of construction workers, catalyze growth on the near north side and bring many talented new workers to our downtown tech corridor.

Mayor Krewson and St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger have talked at length about how they can work together on future projects.  They are both incredibly dedicated to the success of the St. Louis region.

I would also like to publicly thank outgoing St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay for his exceptional work over the past 16 years.  His contributions to our region will leave a lasting legacy.

Our team at the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership is looking forward to working with Mayor Krewson and her staff to grow St. Louis, and position our region on a global stage.
